John Lloyd attends GF’s hearing
Less than two weeks ago, Cebuana actress Ellen Adarna lost her father, businessman Alan Modesto Adarna.
Understandably, she missed the preliminary investigation of the child abuse and cyber crime complaints filed against her by a minor, Eleila Santos, whom she allegedly shamed on social media.
The hearing was called at the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office last Monday. In her stead, boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz attended the hearing along with Adarna’s lawyers. According to ABS-CBN News, the meeting among the two camps plus the prosecutor lasted 30 minutes.
Adarna’s camp reportedly asked to reschedule, for the second time, the preliminary investigation to June 25.
The first schedule for the preliminary investigation was set for June 4, which Adarna failed to attend. Her father, Alan, died of cardiac arrest last May 31.
The complaints stemmed from Adarna’s social media posts last month wherein she accused 15-year-old Santos of taking a paparazzo photo of her while she was dining with Cruz in a ramen restaurant.
Santos denied Adarna’s claims and said she was merely posting an Instagram story of her food. She posted the evidentiary photos on social media. Santos’ parents then demanded that Adarna apologize, but the 30-year-old actress refused to do so.
