Ayala Land subsidiary Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI), in cooperation with the Cebu Business Park Association Inc. and Asiatown IT Park Association Inc., and the Philippine National Police (PNP) opened two new Mabolo police sub-stations last June 18.

CHI provided the area for the sub-stations located in Cebu IT Park and Cebu Business Park, while the estate associations funded the cost of construction of the buildings.

The PNP, for its part, committed to the maintenance of the facility as well as to provide police personnel to man the precinct 24/7.

The proximity of the sub-stations to the city’s leading business districts will allow police personnel to respond more quickly in the event of any incidents within and around these areas.

Cebu Business Park and Cebu IT Park host over 94,000 employees combined.

CHI president Aniceto V. Bisnar turned over the new police precincts to Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 Regional Director Debold Sinas and Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Joel Doria.

“These police precincts will help maintain safety within the estates and its surrounding areas. Their proximity to major population areas will help authorities respond faster in the event of any emergency situations,” said Bisnar.

CHI made the initiative to enhance peace and order within its growing communities, which remain the preferred investment destinations south of Metro Manila.

“We hope that this will set as an example to other private sectors in the community,” said Bisnar.
