DAVAO / KEY NPA LEADER ARRESTED IN JOINT OPERATION

A top leader of the New People’s Army was arrested in a joint operation of the Philippine Army and Philippine National Police units in Purok 2-A, Sinayawan, Hagonoy, Davao del Sur on Saturday afternoon. Chief Insp. Milgrace Driz, spokesperson of Police Regional Office 11, reported that Reynaldo Cole Saavedra alias Antoy, 22, commanding officer of the NPA’s Guerilla Front 71-Far South Mindanao Region, resident of Pitu, Malalag, Davao del Sur, was nabbed when authorities served the warrant for his arrest.
