Rose Pharmacy holds fun run for Cancer Warriors

-

Rose Pharmacy will be hosting its first running event dubbed as Cancer Warriors Run 2018 on July 28 at the Ayala Terraces for the benefit of indigent children under cancer medication in Cebu.

Pearl Cabiluna, the ads and promo executive of Rose Pharmacy, said in a press conference yesterday that the company has been helping cancer patients for the past two years. They have decided to extend that help to children this year.

“Right now we have 2,200 registrants, only 800 shy of hitting our target 3,000 runners,” said Cabiluna, who added that the company will shell out a total of P30,000 in cash prizes for the winners in every category.

The run will have the 10-kilometer, 5K, and 3K categories. The event will be a whole-day activity as the company will be doing a wellness caravan and a culminating activity that well be graced by actress and host Camille Prats.

“We are happy that we are chosen as the beneficiary and we were surprised after knowing that the run will be named after our organization. It speaks a lot to us that a brand like Rose Pharmacy takes notice of our advocacy” said Jennifer Baylon, the program manager of Cancer Warriors Foundation Inc.-Cebu Chapter.

The Cancer Warriors Foundation started in 2010 and now has 170 children. The foundation helps children 18-below who are undergoing medical treatments in Cebu. The children come from different parts of Visayas.

The interested participants can register by purchasing items from the participating products at Rose Pharmacy. A receipt worth P300 is for 3K, P400 for 5K and P500 for the 10K. /
