MAN STEALS GERALD’S SHOES
Kapamilya Actor Gerald Anderson’s house in Quezon City was robbed early Thursday morning.
In an ABS-CBN News Online report, the police identified the suspect as Mark Joseph Capalla, a 22-year-old construction worker. He was also identified as the son of Anderson’s former helper.
According to the report, Jalil Laidan, Anderson’s personal assistant, saw the suspect standing beside the actor’s car and when he called his attention, the suspect immediately ran away.
Erwin Ebora, a driver of Anderson’s neighbor, confirmed that the suspect went in and out of Anderson’s house.
They were able to catch up with the suspect and had him arrested by the police.
Chief Insp. Sandie Caparroso of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said that based on the police’s preliminary investigation, Capalla was wandering near the actor’s house and eventually sneaked in.
The items recovered by the authorities include a stash of T-shirts owned by Anderson’s staff and a pair of shoes owned by the 29-year-old actor.
Laidan said in an interview with ABS-CBN News that Anderson was shocked when he learned about the incident.
According to the report, Capalla denied the allegations when he was brought to the Batasan Police Station. He is now detained at the QCPD Station 6.
Meanwhile, Star Magic, Anderson’s management company, assured no one was harmed during the incident. Anderson and his family were safe.
