10 teams compete in 4th Rich Catsup Bowling

Ten teams will battle for supremacy in the fourth edition of Rich Sweet & Spicy Banana Catsup Tenpin Bowling Invitation Tournament on Aug. 3 to Sept. 14 in the SM City Bowling Center.

The tournament hosted by Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (Cetba) will be played every Friday, starting this week. Each team is composed of five bowlers with four to count.

The champion team will win a P20,000 cash prize and a trophy, while the runner-up will get P15,000, and the third placer, P10,000.

Aside from the cash prizes for the Top 3 teams, special awards like highest team single per day, and highest male and female individual single per day will also be awarded.

The participating teams this year are RRCC&J, Team Unli, SRCB, D’Underdog, E.O Bucoy Consultants 1, E.O Bucoy Consultants 2, Cetba Juniors 1, Cetba Juniors 2, Team Chanieka and Rich Catsup.

The handicaps for the tournament shall be based on the latest Philippine Bowling Congress (PBC) for all PBC members.

The bowlers without PBC record are required to submit player-average certifications from their association.

All the members of the Philippine team, including the national youth pool from the last five years, will automatically be given zero handicap.

Cetba vice-president Engr. Docdoc Gothong said they’re looking to make the event more exciting now on its fourth year. He said that 10 teams have confirmed participation.

Bowlers can still register in the tournament. Registration fee per team is at P12,500 inclusive of lane fees. /
