Capitol workers get P15 bonus

-

Regular and casual employees of the Cebu Provincial Government will have a reason to celebrate.

During the Capitol’s 449th founding anniversary celebration yesterday, Gov. Hilario Davide III announced that the 1,500 regular and casual employees will each receive a P15,000 anniversary incentive.

Davide cited several accolades the Province has received as basis for giving the anniversary incentive.

This includes the Capitol’s third Seal of Good Local Governance awarded in 2017 by the Department of the Interior and Local Government; the 2017 Gawad Kalasag Award from the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council; and the recent Bronze Award from Civil Service Commission.

Elected officials are also entitled to the anniversary incentive.

Last year, regular and casual employees received P10,000 as an anniversary incentive from the Capitol.

Although a P25-million budget has already been allocated for the incentive, Davide said the executive department still needs permission from the Provincial Board before it will be released.

The PB will meet on Wednesday to tackle the matter.

More than 400 children of Capitol employees were present yesterday for the Province’s Fiesta sa Kabataan.

The event, which is on its second year, features various activities designed for children. /
