HOW THE ACTOR, FATHER, ATHLETE DOES IT ALL
Despite the busy schedule of Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual, staying fit and well are still priorities.
Pascual, 41, participated in the Regent Aguila Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championships last Sunday.
He bannered the Sun Life Triathlete Team, which he has been part of in the last five years.
Pascual is an actor, a father and an athlete. How does he manage to do all those things?
“I guess I just wanna enjoy life better. If you want it to be part of your lifestyle, then it’s easy even if you have work. It makes life more balanced, I guess,” the actor said.
As a father, he said that training has been a sort of bonding between him and son Iñigo Pascual.
Pascual participated in the bike leg of the Ironman. But it has been his dream to do a full marathon someday.
“I promised myself to do a full marathon. A couple of years back, I was supposed to register, but I wasn’t able to do it because of my busy schedule,” Pascual said.
Another notch under Pascual’s belt: film producer under Spring Films.
He is now gearing up for his upcoming film about the Marawi siege entitled “Children of the Lake,” which will be directed by Sheron Dayoc.
“Children of the Lake” is an advocacy film which will show the real story of what happened during the Marawi siege. It will also feature the people of Marawi who are still living in the city. Real soldiers will also be part of the film.
Aside from being one of the producers, Pascual will also play a role in the film as a soldier. His co-stars are Robin Padilla, Mylene Dizon, Jasmine Curtis and Sid Lucero.
Spring Films announced in its social media account that the target premiere of the movie will either be in May 2019, the anniversary of the Marawi siege, or on Independence Day.
All the proceeds of the movie will go to the rehabilitation of Marawi. There is a proposal to build 100 houses in the area.
Pascual also shared the secret to coping with his busy schedule: “You have to inspire yourself. You do it because you wanna do it. You should do it because you wanna enjoy life better.”
