Teenager missing for 3 days found dead in Asturias

-

A 15-year-old girl believed to be a gang rape victim was found dead and naked in a grassy area in Barangay Owak, Asturias last Monday afternoon.

The discovery of Jenebeve Entenado’s body ended her family’s search, which had lasted three days.

She was last seen talking to two men last Aug. 24 after she attended a disco in Sitio Anapog, Owak.

Asturias Police Chief Roger Quijano said that these men have been tagged as persons of interest and they were invited for questioning.

He believes that two or more persons raped Entenado, who had gone to Anapog with her mother and other relatives to sell goods for a fiesta celebration last Aug. 23.

Quijano noticed some wounds in the girl’s hands.

This means, he said, that the victim resisted the culprits’ advances and fought back.

Entenado was found by two men in Anapog.

These two were also invited for questioning.

Autopsy

Police says the victim was an only child.

She reportedly went home first after talking to two men.

When she learned that her mother had left Anapog, Entenado went back to get her.

This was the time she disappeared.

An autopsy was conducted on the victim’s body yesterday afternoon.

Afterwards, the family buried her in the town’s public cemetery. It was not clear what other evidence was available that could lead to her killers.

Poblacion, Asturias Barangay Councilor Joeboy Dumdum, in a phone interview, said the family wants justice for the girl’s death.
