CCPO monitoring erring cops

-

Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) Director Royina Garma said they are monitoring investigators and operatives who are allegedly tampering with evidences in drug-related cases.

Garma said she has received reports about the matter and assured that they can do corrective measures such as relieving police officers from their posts, among others.

“May mga narinig ako that’s why we are issuing mga policies, reminding them of the police operational procedures and ordering the station commanders to personally supervise all police operations. May mga investigators na kailangan bantayan, may mga operatives na kailangan bantayan din,” she said.

“Very vulnerable ang mga cases so kailangan talaga pag-aralan at ituwid natin ang mga possible loopholes sa mga case. We need to improve pa rin,” she added.

Asked if she has already relieved a personnel because of alleged tampering of evidence, Garma said there is none so far.

“Hindi pa umabot sa ganun. May mga reports akong ginawa and then may mga reports ako coming from the ground so we have to validate and confirm,” she said. /

We don’t need proof so we could do something to address the problem. A mere information (about the problem) and we are morally convinced that it needs to be addressed or call the attention of the police officer, we will do it. ROYINA GARMA CCPO Director
