Palm Grass celebrates grandparents this weekend

-

As Grandparents’ Day is celebrated in many countries around the world, Palm Grass Hotel invites the Cebuano public to a special celebration for grandparents at library restaurant Kapihan ni Lumaya this Sunday.

The Adlaw ni Lo’La event will treat Lolos and Lolas to a mouthwatering set meal exclusively prepared for this celebration while they are being serenaded with classic Cebuano Harana.

Guests are encouraged to write inspiring messages at the “Mensahe alang ni Lo’La” wall at the lobby of Cebu’s only heritage hotel.

Lolo and Lola who will book an overnight stay at Palm Grass Hotel between today and Sept. 15 will get a free massage.

There will also be an online photo contest for grandchildren of hardworking Lolos or Lolas. Contestants will have the chance to win an overnight stay at Lawak Principalia with breakfast for three and a free massage for grandparents only when they talk about their grandparents on Facebook.

This contest is ongoing until Friday, the deadline of the posting of the photo. A winner will be announced the next day.

Meanwhile, one of Cebu’s contenders in GMA’s “The Clash,” Joannah Jane Sy, joined Palm Grass Hotel singing contest winner 23-year-old Roselyn Cebuco in a duet of an original Cebuano song “Kinasing” at the hotel’s roofdeck bar Hardin Dagami last Aug. 31.

Cebuco competed in “KanTagay” where they capped off history month with their own charming renditions of the theme song of Palm Grass’ first heritage film “Kinasing.”
