To dine at Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan’s Spanish restaurant, Enye by Chele Gonzalez, is to expect a culinary treat with each serving.

Enye celebrated its first anniversary last Aug. 19, where guests enjoyed its best-selling dishes and other crowd favorites. Since it opened, Enye has been well received and recognized as the Best New Restaurant of 2018, and is part of the Top 20 Best Restaurants identified by Philippine Tatler Dining. Here are some more reasons why it continues to draw in diners:

The place

It’s always a place’s interiors that first introduces one to what it’s bringing to the table. Entering through the doors of Enye, one is greeted with striking elements greatly influenced by Spanish cultural identity, tradition, architecture and history seen all over. Evoking a balanced union of classic and modern trimmings, paired with touches of masculinity, the picturesque spot provides a casual dining setup that already on its own, strikes up a conversation.

Spanish fare

Its name “Enye” is inspired by the Spanish letter Ñ, a letter that’s part of both the Spanish and Filipino alphabet. It serves contemporary Spanish cuisine that not only represents Spain’s diverse selection of food but also evokes a sense of familiarity in celebration of the two cultures’ shared history.

New experiences

Fully completing the dining experience is the expectation of something new that’s always happening at Enye. Apart from its mainstays, the restaurant comes up with different kinds of experiences. In fact for the whole month of September—in celebration of Fiesta de la Vendimia—Chef Ivan Saiz Sordo, Enye’s Chef de Cuisine, serves up three new dishes paired with wine from La Rioja, Spain. Apart from monthly promotions, it also offers a special set menu, dégustation, wine or beer pairing as well as new promotions to look out for.
