BEYOND BUSINESS
Strip malls have been gaining popularity in recent years. But more than just acknowledging this trend, homegrown property developer Elin Land Development Inc. intended to introduce its flagship project to Cebu primarily for Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF), as the owner’s way of giving back to God.
Northdrive Mall is a two-storey, 5,000-square-meter building that sits on a 1.3 hectare property. Its kiosks and stand-alone stores on the ground floor are a healthy mix of restaurants, retail, and services. The second floor is dedicated to CCF’s service and church activities, with a main auditorium that can accommodate up to 2,000 members and walk-in guests. Convenience is part of the Northdrive experience because apart from its prime location, it also boasts 300 parking slots for its customers. The open layout allows for an airy atmosphere, so one will want to linger longer.
Commuters bound north or south will have a bevy of dining options at the Northdrive. There’s Burger King, Yellow Cab, Harbour City Dimsum House, Adnama Foods Corp., and Pala-Pala Restaurant by Hyksos for both light bites and substantial meals. Have your caffeine fix at Bo’s Coffee or Cup of Faith, or choose from other refreshment stands-Thirsty, Lemon Co., Chelo’s Tea and Waffle Shack, and Bubble Tea Station. Have a hankering for something sweet? Try Gelato and Biscotti. Leylam, Famous Belgian Waffle, and Potato Corner round up the offerings at Northdrive.
Complementing the food establishments and truly making Northdrive a one-stop shop are the Union Bank of the Philippines, CLC Money Changer, GCC Carwash, and Wash ‘n Dry Laundromat. Co.Lab, a coworking space with a 30-person capacity, can be found on the second floor. The ideal place for students and creatives, it is affordably priced yet provides the requisite conveniences as the others.
The Northdrive Mall is situated at Ouano Ave., North Reclamation Area, Mandaue City, Cebu.
