Taking the online property searching experience offline, real estate company Lamudi brought its Housing Fair for the first time to Cebu last Sept. 8 and 9 at Ayala Center Cebu.

Available in 30 countries worldwide, Lamudi is an online real estate marketplace where sellers, buyers and renters can find or list properties in a secure and convenient platform. It caters to those who don’t have the time to jump from one developer’s showroom to another. On the website, with a few clicks, one may go through a multitude of options in one screen—a window shopping experience, one may call it. Whether it’s for sale or for rent; a lot, house or condominium; residential or commercial, one can search these on Lamudi.

Lamudi was founded in 2013 but chief executive officer Bhavna Suresh said that it wasn’t until 2016 when the platform’s traffic skyrocketed and the team started to expand the features of the website.

“When we started, we just wanted to solve first the basic problems of property seekers,” said Suresh. “But now, Lamudi itself has become a small universe of property searching.”

During the two-day event, major local developers were gathered at the Ayala Center Cebu’s Activity Center to showcase their promising properties. The goal of Lamudi’s Housing Fair is to connect developers and brokers to property seekers and helping them find their dream homes. The fair featured not only developers but also broker associations as well as other real estate-related companies. There were also broker-centric trainings conducted throughout the event.
