The Christmas season is here and shopping lists have grown exponentially.

Specialty store Nest Home & Fabrique Shop, situated on Gorordo Ave., Cebu City is kicking off the holiday season and its first anniversary with a Christmas bazaar called “Mugna sa Pasko.” The bazaar opened Nov. 15 and runs until Monday, Nov. 19.

The store is home to unique items from fashion and food to homeware and accessories, highlighting Filipino craftsmanship. Nest was conceptualized by notable fashion designer Philip Rodriguez.

“These items are not necessarily found commercially. These promote Filipino craftsmanship and help preserve our culture and crafts,” said Philip. The displayed brands are sourced from different parts of the country. This well curated pop-up store has all that and even more this season—Christmas-themed trinkets and various novelty items to choose from.

How does Philip choose the items?

“If I find the potential. If I see the potential. If it has a purpose, and of course, an advocacy.”

Some of the brands included in the bazaar are Floreia, Ika by Angelica Rodriguez, The Bamboo Company, D’Gourmet, Philippine heirloom-inspired jewelry by Filipino artisans Ann Ong, Riqueza by Erica Concepcion Reyes and Timtang Ong as well as sweatshirt barongs by Jor-el Espina.
