IT firm holds fun run

The House of I.T, an internatio­nal informatio­n technology provider company, will hold a the House of IT Race to Innovation to raise cyber security awareness at the Cebu Business Park on Sunday, Dec. 2.

The fun run is a first for the company and is part of their sixth anniversar­y in the country. The run will be joined by the employees and their family members, and the company’s business partners.

“We are planning to do this event annually. This is like a startup for us since we are planning to open this to the public next year,” said Hayde Quiñanola, the company’s communicat­ion specialist, in a press conference at the Albur’s Pizza Burger Grill on Thursday, Nov. 29.

“As a company that remains to be the global standard of IT-driver solutions we would like people to be aware of cyber security,” she said.

Alfie John Ortiz, corporate human resource officer, added that this activity is also a way to develop a better working environmen­t for their more than 200 employees.

“We want the employees to be creative and innovative. It’s part of the fun learning activity of the company,” said team manager Lachme Reboton.

The organizers said that most of their employees are engaging into sporting activity which is one of the reasons why they have come up with the fun run. The company also has clubs for basketball and badminton. /
