Lost and found

M:

To know but not to really know is a dilemma, especially that we have so many choices and yet little time to make the choice. In the end, we sometimes choose the easier thing or path only to discover that it’s not what we really want. More often than not, doubts, insecurities and lack of self-esteem prevent us from thinking that we could become better persons. Hence, our New Year resolutions. DJ:

We have, at one point, mistakenly believed that to be more “acceptable,” we have to look a certain way or act like the rest. When one is young, the yardstick of success is popularity, attractiveness and having the money to maintain these. When we get older and wiser, perhaps the toughest challenge is the search for identity, away from longtime peers and the social network built on one’s ability to deliver the goods.

M:

When we want to truly find ourselves, we don’t have to go searching far and wide. We find ourselves if we listen to what we truly want. New Year resolutions are great, but hopefully not only till Jan. 3 or 30! We have to persevere if we are to reach our goals. Even if it is one step forward and two steps back, we have to keep on keeping on. If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again—or hide all evidence that you failed and try again!

DJ:

The comfort of uncertainty is sometimes the best part of the whole experience. The most valuable things in life are not always found in the most obvious places. Restlessness lies at the heart of the adventure, in the sheer sensation of being in transition. We don’t always have the answers but we can have fun trying to figure things out. Sometimes, we have to get lost in order to find what we are looking for. Sometimes, we just have to look under our noses to find out that we have what we want after all.
