Back-to-back fireworks shows in SM City Cebu

All roads lead to SM City Cebu on Jan. 19 as SM City Cebu and Sinulog Foundation Inc. hold a bigger, better Sinulog Fireworks Competition, now on its 11th year.

One’s eyes can feast on a pyro-spectacular showcase of a breathtaking display of colors exploding in the skies from six pyrotechnic experts from all over the country. Dubbed “Battle of the Champions,” the fireworks competition will feature the previous winners of the competition. Last year’s winner was JNM Pyrotechnics of Lemery, Batangas. Other winners were Chito Fireworks of Barangay Babag, Lapu-Lapu City which came in second place and Red Star Events of Trece Martires City, Cavite which won third.

This year, participants will be judged according to beauty, style, timing, of their fireworks display and audience impact.

The 11th Sinulog Fireworks Competition begins at 7 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the open parking of The Northwing in SM City Cebu.

And after the street dancing on Jan. 20, head on to SM City Cebu once again for the grand Pyromusical show by Pyroworks International at 7 p.m. Viewers can expect more mainstream music synchronized to the fireworks.

If one can’t get enough of the Sinulog fireworks show, SM Seaside City Cebu brings to the Cebuanos, the Extraordinary Pyro Magic in the Sky on Jan. 20, 9 p.m. at the Sky Park. Witness the fireworks show at the Sky Park while enjoying sumptuous offerings from its cafes and restaurants.
