From Napa or Japan, Movenpick hosts food, fun events for March

-

Movenpick Hotels & Resorts is bringing the tastes and flavors of the US West Coast to Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu with an exclusive new Californiainspired menu. Celebrating the fusion of sunshine and seasonal fare, the brand’s global food and beverage campaign,

“California dreamin’,” will be available at The Sails restaurant throughout the months of March and April 2019.

The California dreamin’ campaign pays tribute to chefs who were instrumental in turning the world’s palates toward fresh, locally grown produce and mixing cultural influences from Latin America, Asia and Europe. California cuisine first caught favor back in the early ‘70s when pioneering chef Alice Waters opened her restaurant Chez Panisse. It quickly became known for its use of organic and locally grown ingredients and ever since entrepreneurial California chefs have never shied away from mixing unexpected combinations of ingredients and food styles, while making the most of the abundant sun-kissed produce for which the state is known.

Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island Cebu’s California dreamin’ à la carte menu features seven dishes of classic California fusion cuisine. Seafood, fruit, vegetables and fresh herbs figure prominently in a medley of bold flavors, surprising combinations and unpretentious style. Guests may choose their favorite dishes from the following delicious selections: Crab Cakes, Flowered Tuna, Beef Carpaccio Formaggi, Label Rouge Salmon, Lemon Poultry, Oven-Roasted Lamb Rack and, Lemon & Avocado Cheesecake.

On March 23, Ibiza Beach Club brings back Japanese DJ, Daiki Wakabayashi for its 12th installment of Electro Beach Festival. Dubbed “Illumination,” the event will also feature a stellar group of international music artists.

Over the years, Electro Beach Festival has captured a loyal and growing audience. The recent installments had about 1,000 guests in attendance—a mix of foreigners, locals and visitors from other parts of the country.

Tickets are now available at the advance purchase rate. Promo is offered until March 15. Regular price applies to tickets bought on the event day.
