Topcard now available

The passengers of Topline Express, the operator of ferry boats that travel to and from Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City, will have no more trouble in buying tickets.

This, after Topline Express formally launched its “Topcard,” which can be bought for P20.

The card can be used for 30 days with P999 load credits; 15 days, P599 load credits; seven days, P299; five days, P199; and one day, P49.

The cards and load credits can be purchased at the company’s ticketing booth in Ibo and in Pier 3 in Cebu City.

Ritchy Enabacan, Topline Express operations manager, said the use of the cards in a single day has no limit.

Brigette Lim-Mueller, the company’s vice president for operations, said commuters working in Cebu City and Lapu-Lapu City can avoid the urban traffic if they choose a ride on ferry boats.

Based on the company’s estimates, 2,000 passengers flock to the Ibo wharf to catch a ferry boat daily.

She said they tapped different hotels and resorts in the Mactan area to partner with them and she said the companies expressed their openness in Topline’s transporting their guests to the city.

Topline Express has an ongoing “selfie promo.” It will award a free one-day boat fare to a passenger with a best selfie.
