Global Power, MinebeaMitsumi benchmark best practices for ISO
GLOBAL Business Power (GBP) recently conducted a site-wide study tour in MinebeaMitsumi Inc. to benchmark International Organization for Standardization (ISO) practices.
Attended by GBP Cebu site internal auditors, the study tour aimed to observe and gain insights from the best operational practices in monitoring and measuring resources under ISO 9001:2015.
“An integrated management system streamlines an organization’s processes and systems under one comprehensive framework and promotes efficiency in delivering company objectives, said Leah Diaz, GBP’s first vice president for Cebu operations.
International certifications
Both GBP and MinebeaMitsumi Inc. are certified in three management system standards, namely ISO 9001:2015 the Quality Management System ; ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System; and OHSAS 18001:2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
“Passion for excellence is one of GBP’s core values and we aim to meet the highest quality management standards in our operations,” added Diaz.
She highlighted that the company goes beyond mere compliance in providing electricity to its consumers.
Located in Danao City, MinebeaMitsumi is a provider of electro-mechanic solutions which is an integration of machines and electronics.
GBP, on the other hand, is one of the leading independent operators in the Visayas, operating 11 power generation facilities in Cebu, Iloilo, Aklan and Mindoro.
In 2017, the company acquired a 50 percent stake in Mindanao-based Alsons Thermal Energy Corporation.
