It’s a known fact that Cebuanos absolutely love barbecue and shabu-shabu. But most of the time, they are made to choose between the two as most establishments offer only either one or the other.

Lucky for foodies, there’s

Tong Yang Plus. Here, they can have all the barbecue and shabu-shabu they want. A brand under the Vikings Group, Tong Yang Plus rose to popularity as the country’s largest barbecue and shabu-shabu chain, offering these well-loved dishes, buffetstyle.

Last March 23, Tong Yang Plus officially opened its newest outlet in SM Seaside City Cebu. This is the brand’s 10th store in the country—the biggest, in fact.

To enjoy the shabu-shabu, one must first choose his preferred soup base. Then, he can select the ingredients from the wide array of meats, vegetables and noodles like polonchay, carrot, egg, chili and mushroom.

One’s options for grilling are just as overwhelming: lean cuts of pork, chicken, beef, seafood, sausages, offal etc.

Each table has a central grill for the barbecue and a couple of induction cooker consoles for the shabu-shabu. This allows dinners to have two soups cooking at the same time.

Aside from the raw meats for the shabu-shabu and barbecue, Tong Yang Plus also offers short orders—such as classic Chinese fare and dimsum, Japanese tempura and sushi rolls—for guests to partake of while waiting for the meat to cook on the grill.

To finish off a hearty meal, one can make his way to the desserts section, where he can find a sweet selection of kakanin, cakes, mousse and even a DIY (Do It Yourself ) halo-halo station. Wash everything down with a glass or two of any of the bright fruit juices and aguas frescas available, from watermelon to tamarind.

As a fun and interactive dining experience, set in a casual atmosphere with impressive variety, Tong Yang Plus is a great place to sate a craving for barbecue and shabushabu with the warm company of family and friends.

Tong Yang Plus is located on the lower ground floor, Seaview Wing of SM Seaside City Cebu.
