GROUP SEEKS TO CREATE OPPORTUNITIES FOR REAL ESTATE SALESPERSONS

-

THE Accredited Real Estate Salespersons in the Philippines (Acres Philippines) is looking to help more people who want to become part of the promising property selling industry.

Anthony Gerard Leuterio, president of A Better Real Estate Philippines (Abrep), the advisory group and mother organization of Acres, said the only way to further drive the real estate sector forward is to have salespersons equipped with the right knowledge, code of conduct, and familiarity of what property buyers need.

“In Acres, we help salespersons improve their profession and make them better,” Leuterio said in a press conference on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 during the first-ever Real Estate Salespersons Congress held in Radisson Blu Hotel.

The veteran property broker said Acres also aims to create more opportunities for people who want to make property selling their source of income and profession.

Acres will also serve as a good venue for training for aspiring real estate salespersons.

Chris Malazarte, president of Acres South Cebu Chapter, said they aim to create increased collaboration with other professionals invoked in the real estate service.

“We will create a mechanism where we can trust and work together,” he said.

On a personal perspective, he said he sees better times ahead for the real estate industry, especially with the recovery of the economy.

In fact, despite the economic ills brought about by the pandemic, the property sector has remained resilient and has continued attracting investors.

One primary factor that drives this positive outlook is the return of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) to their countries of work destination.

He said OFWs remain a huge market for real estate properties in the Philippines.

Acres, a Securities and Exchange Commission-registered group, is the country’s first and largest organization of accredited real estate salespersons.

Founded in 2021, it supports the endeavors of salespersons in furthering their learnings, ethical standards, protection of their rights to free and fair practice, upliftment of their well-being, and due representation and inclusion on matters of their trade and prosperity.

Thursday’s conference gathered over 700 industry practitioners in the field of real estate selling to formally introduce Acres Philippines and its vision and mission; recognize its interim officers nationwide and charter members; and raise awareness and tackle current concerns in real estate selling.
