-

JOURNEYMAN Pablito Canada shocked everybody at the Sanman Boxing Gym in General Santos City and the boxing fans watching the “Sanman Bubble X” show live online after stopping previously unbeaten prospect Michael Casama on Aug. 24 in the sixth round of their scheduled 10-round contest.

The 27-year-old Canada, who hasn’t won a fight since 2019, came into the fight as a huge underdog. However, he stunned everyone by dropping Casama in the fifth round and again in the sixth round before referee Fernando Piccio saw enough and stopped it at the 43 second mark of the sixth.

Canada improved to 8-21-5 with two knockouts, while Casama dropped to 8-1 with eight knockouts.

French warrior Lorenezo Guillaume won back-to-back fights in the Philippines and captured the vacant World Boxing Federation International lightweight belt after a third round stoppage of battle-scarred veteran Joe Tejones in the co-main event.
