Woman sued for drugs

CHARGES were filed before the Davao City Prosecution Office on Wednesday against a woman arrested for allegedly selling illegal drugs.

Toril police identified the suspect as Lestere Joy Geldore Rubo, 21, of Barangay Lizada in Toril in Davao City.

Police record showed Rubo is facing charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Rubo was arrested in a buy-bust operation at

her house in Barangay Lizada around 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday after she handed a sachet of suspected shabu to a policeman who acted as buyer.

The suspect was found in possession of four small and medium sachets of suspected shabu, one sachet of suspected dried marijuana with fruiting tops, and one P500 marked money.

Rubo is now detained at the Toril Police Station for proper disposition, while the seized evidence are placed under the custody of the police crime laboratory.

Based on the record of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), there were already 100 suspected drug pushers arrested since June 30 this year. KCF
