Education is now one of its top priorities for the development of Igacos.
“We have 210 slots of city scholars. Right now, we need to fill in more slots as presently have 106 registered scholars. We want more students to avail scholarship slots especially those who need and deserve it”, Valera said.
The committee will also conduct a monthly meeting with the city scholars to properly monitor their condition and status in their respective schools.
During his term as coordinator, Valera vows to strengthen the information drive about scholarship program in all barangays and all0 transactions will be transparent.
All permanent residents of Igacos for at least 5 years are encouraged to apply for the City Scholarship program.
The slots are only limited thus, individuals who aspire to win a scholarship grant must pass a written examination. CIO IGACOS
