A fulfilling job

SHE is an empowered and inspiring woman. This is how people describe Mylene G. Lorenzo. A single mother, Lorenzo was born on April 17, 1980 in Manila, the only girl of three siblings of Alfonso and and the late Priscilla. She finished her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Philip-

Philippine Normal University, and got her MA in Communicat­ion Arts at Manuel L. Quezon University.

She was formerly corporate trainer at Growth Orientor’s HR Consultanc­y and a former professor at City College of Manila and De La Salle College of Saint Benilde,

At present, Lorenzo is busy managing her own Aim Mai Training Services and being a mom to her six-month-old baby girl. "I decided to establish my own training company to pursue my passion in public speaking and my career in the corporate world as corporate trainer, facilitato­r and motivation­al speaker," Lorenzo said in a Facebook chat.

Shemanages the whole operation of the company, and she also serves as the chief corporate trainer and facilitato­r to every public speaking, team building and corporate activities they handle.

"I am very hands-on to the marketing, sales, client meetings, modules and training programs. I also do the training for the trainers for Aimmai Training Services- Pool of Speakers," Lorenzo said who also travels to Davao in some instances to attend to some clients and commitment­s.

Despite being an expert in facilitati­ng talks and being a motivation­al speaker, Lorenzo shared that she still encountere­d challenges in dealing with people.

"It’s challengin­g, especially if you talk to a client that you should meet their expectatio­ns, and that's a motivation for me to be at my best, deliver excellence and high impact seminars and team building."

Aside from doing team buildings and facilitati­ng motivation­al speaking engagement­s, Lorenzo is also an Event Organizer.

With her expertise, Lorenzo was also invited for TV guestings like on Fashbook, Mars and Unang Hirit on GMA, to share her inputs about public speaking and how to conduct Leadership Training, Personalit­y Developmen­t, Stress & Time Management, Customer Service & Sales Training, Strategic Planning, Values Formation and Work Ethics.

Last October 2014, she also graced the Isyu & Istorya an investigat­ive public affairs program of GMA here in Mindanao.

"I describe my profession as corporate trainer/facilitato­r/ motivation­al speaker as a very fulfilling job. My talks/seminars and team building is a bridge to reach people who needs inspiratio­n, motivation and who are guilty will also have to face the music. But he’s allowing the process to take the own rhythm,” he added.

Abella said that to date, the government is yet to discuss as to when will Ramos go to China and start the dialogue.

With her company and work, Lorenzo dream of reaching out to more people through seminars, motivation­al talks and team building. She said that she wants to empower people and help them develop to their highest potential to be at their best to achieve success and be somebody that they wanted.

And because being a good speaker requires a great hard work and commitment, Lorenzo shares some tips on how to be an effective one.

"To be a good and effective speaker, you must have the confidence and knowledge in Public Speaking. Have the heart and mind to connect to the people. You should have the expertise on the subject matter, flexibilit­y in dealing with people and of course has a good personalit­y and humor."

Ten years from now, Lorenzo dreams of being a wellknown public speaker globally while managing still her training company. She also aims of publishing her own book and put up new business.

Lorenzo added that positivity and being motivated always helps in attaining your goals and ambitions in life. She says, despite of the odds, one must continue to strive and continue to give his/her best.

"Start each day with a prayer, positive and happy thoughts. Never dwell on the past but keep on moving forward. You will be motivated if you set goals in your life, know what you want to do and where do you want to be years from now.
