De Lima's driver is the Bilibid link: Rody

PRESIDENT Rodrigo R. Duterte at past midnight Monday said he did not expose the relationship between Senator Leila de Lima and driver Ronnie Dayan just for voyeurism but to establish the close link between de Lima and the driver’s activities at the National Bilibid Prison (NBP) where jailed vice lords were enjoying a life of privilege and the alleged major manufacturing of shabu has been going on under de Lima’s watch.

“I want to disabuse the minds of the many women who are protesting my revelation,” Duterte said, “But I have to make the connect. Why would inmates obey the driver?”

He said that Dayan has been going in and out of the

Bilibid on very suspicious circumstances.

“There is the fact that because of that relationship with her driver, which I termed immoral, gave rise to the corruption of what was happening inside the national penitentiary,” he said.

Duterte fumed as he urged Senator Leila de Lima to explain her connection with illegal drug syndicates and the proliferation of drugs inside during her term as the Secretary of the Department of Justice (DOJ).

“Explain to me your immorality and explain to me your connection with the drug people,” Duterte demanded.

In his press conference dawn on Sunday, Duterte said “You will not be surprised, during her term and for a longer period, when she became the secretary of justice, there were special privileges granted to all inmates.”
