Bato relieves Antipolo cops involved in illegal drugs

-

MANILA – Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Ronald Dela Rosa has ordered the relief of the Antipolo City cops whom a witness at the Senate hearing on Monday tagged as suspects in the killing of two alleged drug pushers.

“Effective today (Monday), i-relieve ko ‘yang mga tao na ‘yan. Ilalagay ko sa administrative holding unit at pa-conduct ko ng investigation ang Internal Affairs Service,” said Dela Rosa during the Senate committee on justice and human rights inquiry on the extrajudicial killings.

“Kung ma po-prove, lahat ng pulis d’yan sa Antipolo, buong police commander tanggalin ko lahat,” he added.

Mary Rose Aquino, daughter of Rodelio and Rosalie Campos, said that her parents had told her before they left the family’s home on June 20 that they were going to remit the money coming from the illegal drugs.

She claimed personal knowledge on her parents’ involvement in illegal drugs as some of the transactions, including repacking of drugs seized by policemen in drug operations, were being done inside their house.

“Kapag nasa taas [ng bahay] po kami, ‘pag dumating ‘yung mga pulis, papababaain po kami nila mama. Makulit po ako kaya tinitignan ko, minsan po nagrere-pack sila ng shabu, minsan naman doon na sila (mga pulis) nagpa-pot session,” she said, adding that her mother and father were also drug users.

The Campos couple were found dead in separate locations in Antipolo and Morong in Rizal, days after they left their house on June 20 to remit drug money to policemen who act as drug suppliers.

Aquino identified the three policemen as “Rabe,” “Ong,” and “Torres.”

She said that she believed that the three cops assigned in Antipolo were involved in the killing of her parents. SUNNEX
