‘Conflict-Manageable and Development-Ready’ ComVal

Valley Province - The province will hold a very significant event were the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will declare ComVal Province, an identified operational area of the Guerilla Fronts and the New People’s Army (NPA), as “conflict-manageable and development-ready area” (CMDRA).

The 10th ID Commander Major General Rafael C. Valencia, 1001st Brigade Commander Col. Macairog S. Alberto, and Gov. Jayvee Tyron L. Uy will lead the CMDRA declaration ceremony of the province today at Nabunturan National Comprehensive High School (NNCHS) Gym, in Poblacion, Nabunturan, Comval.

The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the declaration of the province under CMDRA has been approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) during the 6th Regular Session on August 10, 2016 with Hon. Randy Opisan as the Temporary Presiding Officer.

The 1001st Brigade Acting Operations Officer Capt. Rey Annogui stressed out that the signing of MOA between Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Comval and the AFP is for the cooperation itself for the peace and improvements of the province.

The expected participants for the CMDRA declaration are the Provincial Officials, Municipal Mayors together with SB Committee on Peace and Order, Barangay Officials, National and Non Government Officials, as well as the private individuals, bussines sectors, academe, IP Mandatory Representatives and the people throughout the province.
