Zambo Sibugay village official shot dead
ZAMBOANGA - A VILLAGE official, who is also a drug personality surrenderee, was killed by motorcycle-riding gunmen in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Monday.
Superintendent Rogelio Alabata, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula spokesman, identified the victim as Ben Hassier Anduhol, 46, a councilor in the village of Magdaup, Ipil, the capital of Zamboanga Sibugay province.
Alabata said Anduhol was shot around 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Sitio Malapayon in the village of Poblacion, Ipil municipality.
Alabata said that Anduhol was seated outside the ancestral home with his wife when two men riding tandem on a motorcycle arrived and repeatedly shot the official.
He said Anduhol’s wife, Juvy, rushed the victim to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
