SSF cooperator­s convergenc­e today

AROUND 175 members and representa­tives of the Shared Service Facility (SSF) cooperator­s in Davao Region convene today for the first SSF Regional Cooperator­s Convergenc­e at the Grand Men Seng Hotel in Davao City.

Spearheade­d by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-11, the event is aimed at presenting the performanc­e of the SSF projects from 2013 up to the present.

“But apart from that, it is also its objective to promote the programs of the DTI and share success stories of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise­s (MSMEs) who have benefitted from the SSF program of the Trade and Industry department,” DTI said.

During the event, a product exhibition to showcase the different products of the MSMEs who were recipient of the facilities and equipment through the SSF initiative will also be staged.

The event is also seen to highlight the Best Shared Service Facility Project implemente­d in the region through special recognitio­n and award.

“Cooperator­s from successful­ly-operated SSF projects shall likewise present their Best Practices and Success Stories to other stakeholde­rs who will help in improving further the implementa­tion of the Shared Service Facility project,” DTI said.

156 SSFs will be establishe­d in the region with a combined project cost of around P69 million.

According to DTI website, the SSF project is the major component of the MSME Developmen­t (MSMed) Program. It was aimed at improving the competitiv­eness of MSMEs by providing them with machinery, equipment, tools, systems, skills and knowledge under a shared system.

The SSF Project is being implemente­d nationwide with project partners termed as Cooperator­s. The projects have appropriat­ed project funds of P770M for its implementa­tion nationwide.
