20 new CCTVs at Dcott

- By Karina V. Cañedo

THE Davao City Overland Transport Terminal (Dcott) is set to install additional 20 closed circuit televison (CCTV) cameras.

Dcott head Aisa Yusop, in an interview with Sun. Star Davao yesterday, said that additional cameras, including the rotating and steady cameras are set to be installed within this year.

"The Public Safety and Security Services Center and the City Information and Technology (CIT) already came here to check

the possible areas where the cameras will be placed," Yusop said.

Yusop said the installation of additional 20 CCTV cameras is part of strengthening their security measures inside the terminals and not because of the Roxas Night Market blast incident.

The Task Force Davao has already deployed additional personnel at Dcott.

Yusop said they will propose next year to install a walk through body scanner, x-ray machine for baggage similar to those at the airports.
