‘4Ps family day’ in Zambo set

ZAMBOANGA - The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) announced several activities had been lined up that will mark the celebration of the 2016 Regional Family Day of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Zamboanga City.

DSWD Regional Information Officer Ivan Eric Salvador said the family day celebration will be held on Friday, September 30, at the campsite of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) in the village of Pasonanca, Zamboanga City.

The family day celebration is aimed to bring together the families of the 4Ps beneficiaries, in line with the celebration of the National Family Week from September 24 to 30.

The activities include family games, product demonstration, and Zumba dance. They will have a boodle-type lunch together.

Booths will be set up to display for sale the products of the Sustainable Livelihood Program as well as services by the Area Vocational and Rehabilitation Center.

This year’s Family day celebration is anchored on the theme: “Matatag na pamilya maunlad na bukas.”
