Thumbs up to Steak ni Juan

- BY CHRISTINE JOICE C. CUDIS

THERE'S a new steak house in the city and being a huge foodie, I know I really have to try it especially with all the good feedback I've been reading from my friends' posts on Facebook and Instagram.

I first heard of Steak ni Juan on Facebook in mid-August, in time with my craving for the dish. I had been searching for an alternative steak house with affordable price since the restaurant I know offers it but just too costly.

I don't know how many branches they have right now but the first one is located at V. Mapa Street corner Tionko Avenue or if you are bad with directions, it is just in front of that banana restaurant, Saging Repablik.

The one where I and a friend ate was in Buhangin area, located along the highway, a few steps away from Jollibee Buhangin.

Their T-bone steak is priced at P149 including a single serving of rice and Steak Ni Juan signature gravy while the more tender porterhouse steak is at P169.

Their gravy also does not disappoint. It's the restaurant's signature recipe, especially made to complement the juicy, tender steaks, completing the ultimate Steak Ni Juan experience.

Buttered baby potatoes and corn cobs are also offered as add-ons for P20 (they serve generously!). A pitcher of their house blended iced tea priced P40 would complete your dining experience.

From blogger iamspecials.wordpress.com, "The restaurant is the masterpiece of friends Mon, an IT businessman who migrated from Manila, and Tristan, a Davaoeño. Even though both of them came from different backgrounds, they decided to open a unique, game-changing restaurant focused on an affordable and accessible steak dining experience but with high quality standards".

Steak ni Juan is a casual dining restaurant. Open air but cleanliness is maintained. Most important is they offer savory steaks at low cost.
