28 police relieved in Central Visayas

-

CAMP Crame has relieved eight police commissioned officers (PCOs) and 20 police non-commissioned officers (PNCOs) from the Police Regional Office (PRO) Central Visayas.

The officers, in an order dated October 21, were instructed to report to the Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit of the national headquarters.

Some of the officers relieved are from Cebu Provincial Police Office, Cebu City Police Office, and Mandaue City Police Office.

A police official, who requested anonymity, said the officers were allegedly accepting drug money from big-time drug personalities.

From July 1 until October 24, 123 officers were relieved from PRO Central Visayas.

The order did not state the reason why the officers were relieved, according to Senior Superintendent Renato Dugan, the chief of Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division. SunStar Cebu
