SACT celebrates a decade of success
SAINT Albans College of Technology (SACT) had finally reached a decade of helping the lives of many by discovering their potentials in reaching their paths to success. This momentous event had been celebrated alongside the schools intramurals last August 27, 28, 2016. It had been a fun-filled two days celebration which began last August 27 at the SACT C.M. Recto campus.
The intramurals spirit was boosted by a sumptuous community breakfast, spearheaded by the SACT culinary department. Not only did the students competed for the different ball games, their skills were also tested during the second day, (August 28) for the different departmental competitions.
The second day began with a bang as the best of the best singers from each SACT departments had battled to win the first ever The Voice of Saint Albans 2016. It was a tough competition but within the battle, the singing chef Rochelle Calipes had stolen the hearts of many when she belted out her own rendition for the opm hit “Bukas nalang kita mamahalin”.
Later that afternoon, the students enjoyed the Miss Saint Albans College of Technology 2016 when nine gorgeous candidates from the different departments competed for the crown. But what made the event more special is the celebration of the 10th founding anniversary of SACT. It was a precious moment for everyone to look back at the institution’s humble beginnings since 2006. Over 6,000 lives were touched by SACT in leading a path to success and creating a brighter future not only for their lives but their families as well.
School president Albert L. Bangwa opened the program with an encouraging message for the students to believe in their potentials, and continue the schools vision and mission. The afternoon mood was more brightened up when Chef Bambi L. Bangwa inspired everyone with her message that nothing is impossible when you only believe and dedicate your life with hard work. Indeed 10 years had flown so fast for Saint Albans College of Technology, but the mission in helping the lives of every young Filipino in reaching their full potential continues. This dedication is the driving force of the alma matter to pursue in creating a better program and to continue to create successful lives for the Filipino people. Alexandra Rochelle P. Alvarez
