Moral recovery program launched

ISLAND Garden City of Samal – The Local Government Unit (LGU) of the Island Garden City of Samal had launched the Moral Recovery Program (MRP), which aims to create a transformational change among Samaleños, just last January 23 during the convocation at the Samal Cultural Gymnasium.

The program also aims to re-awaken sense of right and wrong and uplift and enhance high moral standard of the Samaleños.

Thirteen committee members of the MRP, composed of personalities from the IGACOS government, academe, and religious sector, also took oath during the launching.

With its theme “A Godly City, A Godly People , A Godly Character”, the MRP was pushed through executive order no. 8, series of 2016, an order creating the moral recovery program of the Island Garden City of Samal.

“We cannot give what we do not have”, MRP vice Chair Dr. Austerio Obenza said

All Samaleños, from the government to private employees, DepEd personnel, drivers, PTA, and down to the different sectors of the society will be the recipient of the program.

The Values Restoration Officer will lead the mentoring program in their co-employees like sharing of success stories in order to maintain the sustainability of the program.
