Ginebra-SMB final clash sked bared

THE best-of-seven Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Philippine Cup finals series between Barangay Ginebra and San Miguel Beermen will start on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Ginebra won the last ticket to the final after beating Star Hotshots, 8976, in a do-or die match of their bestof-seven semifinals series at the Mall of Asia Arena Tuesday evening.

Sol Mercado sizzled with 23 points and Japeth Aguilar made 19 baskets to lead scoring for the Tim Conementored Gin Kings.

PBA yesterday released the schedule of the championship series with Game 2 set at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday in Lucena City.

Smart Araneta Coliseum will then host Game 3 at 7 p.m. on March 1, Game 4 at 7 p.m. on March 3 and Game 5 at 6:30 p.m. on March 5.

Games 6 and 7, if necessary, will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena and Smart Araneta Coliseum, respectively.
