Moira performs live at SM Lanang Premier

-

Valentine’s day was never over yet at SM Lanang Premier as former The Voice of the Philippines season 1 contestant Moira dela Torre performed live at the Fountain Court last February 19.

The young singer-songwriter, who started the show at 6:30PM, opened with her cover of Elvis Presley original “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” She also sang her version of “Sunday Morning” originally performed by Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.

Better known for her commercial jingles and her stint on the Kapamilya Network’s local franchise of the hit talent show, Moira is slowly building her name in the local music scene.

It can be recalled that during her stint with The Voice, the 23-year-old fast-rising star was part of Apl de Ap’s team.

Just in case you fell in love with the jingles of McDonald’s “Hooray for Today,” Lewis and Pearl’s “Sweet Paris,” Surf’s “Pinalaki,” Johnson & Johnson’s “Signature of Love,” Lactacyd’s “Cool and Fresh,” and many more, well, it is her voice behind these successful tunes.

New album

Four years after she released her first album, Moira is now preparing for her second album under Star Music. Her self-titled debut album and music video released in 2013 were under Ivory Music. This featured her singles “Love Me Instead” and “If You Tell Me You Love Me,” which bagged several award nominations a year after. The full album can still be downloaded via iTunes.

Apart from her famous jingles, Moira is also known as the composer and performer of the song “Malaya,” the theme song of the 2016 movie Camp Sawi.

Following her show, shoppers with Meet-and-Greet passes were given the chance to take a photo with her. Some even took a selfie with the talented artist.

Moira’s Live Session at The Fountain Court is co-sponsored by Vivo, Air Asia, Park Inn by Radisson Davao and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf branch in SM Lanang Premier.
