PRO 11 chief seeks LGU execs' support
POLICE Regional Office (PRO 11) Director Chief Superintendent Manuel Gaerlan seeks for the support of the local government unit (LGU) officials in the acquisition of additional motorcycles to further boost the police's preparedness and response capacity against illegal activities.
"If your respective LGUs can support in the procurement of more motorcycles, we would highly welcome it so that we can train more personnel," he said before the Governor, Mayors and head officials of various agencies in the region during the official launching of Road Discipline Task Force (RDTF) and Motorcycle Mounted Police Cops at Camp Quintin Merecido, Buhangin, Davao City.
Gaerlan is optimistic that with the assistance of the LGUs to their respective provincial, municipal and city police offices, the safety and security of their people will be kept and peaceful community will be preserved.
"I'm sure that this would help a lot in the improvement of peace and order situation in your respective cities and municipalities," he said.
Thus, he appealed for LGU assistance in their initiatives for the attainment of their common goal and shared responsibility in providing a livable and crimefree community for their constituents.
"Sana tayo ay magtulungan. Sabi nga nila if there is no peace, there will be no development and if there is no development, there will never be peace," he said.
During the first part of the activity, the member of the motorcycle mounted patrol teams showcased their skills in conducting road operations and chasing after criminals.JCR
