50 employers join Dole job fair

MORE than 100 local and overseas employers will be present during the Trabaho, Negosyo Kabuhayan (TNK) Fairs in Davao City on May 1 to 2, 2017.

Jobs from Key Employment Generating Sectors (KEGS) like manufactur­ing, food processing, constructi­on, tourism, informatio­n technology, business process management, transporta­tion and logistics and retail and trade will be available for job seekers.

and Negosyo fair will be held simultaneo­usly at GMall of Davao.

Yesterday, Dole and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) along with Interface Computer College(ICC), GMA, and ABS-CBN Davao signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the staging of the first Trabaho, Negosyo Kabuhayan (TNK) Fairs.

Dubbed with the theme, "Matatag na Kabuhayan at Trabaho Tunog sa Progresibo­ng Pagbabago," DOLE aims to lessen unemployme­nt and improve the micro, small and medium enterprise­s in the region.

"We are aiming to achieve full employment by creating about 7.6 million jobs nationwide," Tutay said during the press conference at the Pinnacle Hotel and Suites yesterday.

"We also have an assembly and consultati­on event in the afternoon at the People's park which will be attended by President Rodrigo R. Duterte," she said.

Tutay said the Labor Assembly and Consultati­on dubbed as "Si Presidente at ang Manggagawa" event targets to gather participan­ts from the different sectors namely public sector unions, labor unions, Overseas Filipino Workers, and informal sector. ABS
