Stop prosecutorial terrorism! Fire Aguirre!

The Save Sulu Movement welcomes the Resolution filed by Congressman Munir Arbison calling for a congressional investigation on the alleged multi-million bribery that shows the direct hand of Secretary Vitaliano N. Aguirre in exerting undue influence on his subordinate and malicious attempt to force his own Assistant State Prosecutor to file a nonbailable and baseless criminal complaint against Congressman Arbison just to please his client, Abdusakur M. Tan.

In an audio record posted on social media, AGUIRRE can be heard forcing his subordinate to file the case even without probable cause.

What is the business of the Secretary of Justice lawyering for his own client in the DOJ? Is the Aguirre and Aguirre Law Firm now holding office at Padre Faura? What Sec. Aguirre is doing in the TAN vs ARBISON case is clearly in furtherance of his private law practice which he could not easily give up because it is very much LUCRATIVE. It constitutes graft and corruption and a violation of the rule of conduct governing lawyers.

But as an alter-ego of the President, AGUIRRE cannot serve the President and Sakur Tan all at the same time.

We call, therefore, on the President to immediately FIRE AGUIRRE. Surely, what AGUIRRE is doing is more than a whiff, far louder than as whisper of CORRUPTION. He does not deserved to be in the noble first family of the President.

We also call on the Ombudsman and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines to immediately investigate this matter motu proprio.
