Smart convenes partner-retailers

-

SMART Communications, the wireless unit of PLDT, will soon be convening thousands of its retailers in recognition of their important role in the telco’s growth over the years.

Over P3 million in cash and prizes will be given away to lucky retailers under the Smart Ka-Partner Rewards Program, the telco’s loyalty program for its retailers that is now on its 5th year.

Several retailers have already won P1 million each, while a greater number have won cash prizes of P100,000, and appliances in conventions previously organized by Smart. The Ka-Partner Rewards Program has been an instrument in empowering the lives of retailers Criselda Martin of Davao, Linda Apil of Kalinga, and Amador Lotino, Jr. of Albay, to name a few.

“A company is only as good as its frontliners, and through the years, we’ve seen how our partner-retailers brought our products and services to the grassroots, making them available to more Filipinos. As our men on the ground, they play a valuable role in our market leadership and we make it a point that they are rewarded for their efforts,” said Alex O. Caeg, head of Wireless Consumer Division Sales and Distribution at Smart.

Smart has a network of over 1.2 million sari-sari stores, and other small- and medium-scale retail outlets throughout the Philippines.

“With our generous incentives, we hope to encourage them to keep growing their business and continue supporting our products and services,” he added.

Smart will also continue making a push for the adoption of its KaPartner mobile app in line with the company’s efforts to digitize processes for its sales and external partners. With the app, retailers can easily load Smart Load to his/her customers; save his/her customer list; track sales and inventory, and get alerts on the load wallet balance. Soon, it will also generate report of sales and profits. The Smart Ka-Partner App is already available for download at the Google Play Store.

Smart holds a series of retailer conventions across the country throughout the year. Sari-sari store owners and other hardworking individuals, including stay-at-home mothers and students, who do loading business to augment their income, usually attend to join in the games, activities, entertainment, and the big surprises prepared for them. Apart from the prizes, the Smart Retailer Convention also gathers Smart’s various suppliers and distributors of consumer goods, including vendors of handsets, gadgets, and other telco products, are invited to sell their items at a huge discount to the retailers.
