Pia Wurtzbach preps for MMFF entry

-

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach is now preparing for her upcoming movie with Vice Ganda and Daniel Padilla. The project, which is an entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival, will be the 27-year-old international beauty queen's first movie after a long time. It can be recalled that she started as a child actress on the Kapamilya Network. She was known then as Pia Romero. Her last appearance was in the 2006 film "All About Love," which starred Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, Anne Curtis, Luis Manzano, Angelica Panganiban, and Jason Abalos. It can be noted that in her past projects, she was only given bit roles. However, with the upcoming MMFF entry of Star Cinema, the Filipino-German beauty will already be among the major cast members. Considering that she has not done a movie for quite a while now, Pia admitted during an interview with TV Patrol on Tuesday that she needs to brush up her acting skills. In a press interview on Monday, Queen P revealed the personally requested ABSCBN to let her undergo some workshops.

"Yes, I've been taking acting workshops again just for refresher. So I want to be prepared. And this is something I requested from ABS-CBN also. And they fitted the harness already, so sigurado naman na (I'm so sure) they will take care of me," she said, as reported by Rappler.

She did not share more details, though, since they want to "surprise" the moviegoers.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN disclosed last month that a story conference was already made. Vice Ganda also stated then that opting for a superhero-themed flick was basically done because superheroes are "what we need right now."

Apart from her much-awaited film, Pia is currently busy as well with her numerous endorsements.

She is the face of the famous Japanese apparel brand UNIQLO in the Philippines. She likewise endorses Huawei phone, BDO, Cream Silk, Downy, Century Tuna, among others.

Looking at her Instagram account, the queen from Iligan constantly updates her fans about her latest endorsements and whereabouts.
