Kapalong stages 1st Bizcon

KAPALONG, Davao de Norte - The Municipality of Kapalong means business as it stages the 1st Kapalong Business Conference as highlight of its 69th Founding Anniversary today, August 1.

Municipal Mayor Maria Theresa Timbol said the business conference (bizcon) this afternoon is designed to attract investors and to present opportunities to build partnership and new business ventures.

Timbol aligns the conduct of the bizcon with this year's founding theme, "Kalinaw Duyog sa Kalambuan, Atong Panghingusgan," emphasizing "the importance as element to Kapalong's progress".

Among the expected speakers during the bizcon are House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, JS Gaisano CEO and President John Gaisano, LYR Group of Companies Chairman Lorenzo Y. Rubinos Jr and Davao del Norte Governor Anthony G Del Rosario.

Timbol is set to present the situation analysis of Kapalong and the Investment Incentives Code of Kapalong while local entrepreneur Rey Bayoneta will talk about "Why Invest in Kapalong".

Conference participants from the business, agriculture, academe among other sectors will sign a manifesto of support to the vision of Kapalong LGU to hone the investment location potential of the municipality.

Aside from the open forum, the conference also sets time for business matching.
