DTI opens SOX's 45th Negosyo Center
LEBAK, Sultan Kudarat -- Micro, small and medium enterprises (SMES) in the coastal town of Lebak in Sultan Kudarat province are assured of immediate aid that could sustain their investments.
This, as the Department of Trade and Industry in Soccsksargen Region opened here its 45th Negosyo Center.
“Lebak’s Negosyo Center is the 12th In Sultan Kudarat province. With the opening of this facility, all local government units in Sultan Kudarat province now have Negosyo Center that bring services closer to MSMEs,” said Felisa Sinobago, DTI Sultan Kudarat provincial director.
According to a DTI briefer, a Negosyo Center is “responsible for promoting ease of doing business and facilitating access to services for MSMEs within its jurisdiction.”
Its primary services include supports in business registration, advisory services, information and advocacy, and monitoring and recommending business-process improvements. Specifically, these services cover assistance through business registration, establishing networks and market linkages, facilitating financial grants, shared service facilities and equipment, management guidance, training, information on credit facilities, databanking and many other support for MSMEs.
Lebak’s Negosyo Center is a a Model B facility, which is describes as being manned by 2 to 3 business counselorswith support stafff and has areas for reception, consultation and meeting. Sinobago, however, noted that the center in Lebak has a second floor featuring a hall for training activities.
DTI 12 Regional Director Ibrahim Guiamadel and Mayor Dionesio Besana led the inauguration of the Lebak Negosyo Center, highlighting the opening ceremonies of the municipality's 2nd Kapeonan Festival and 70th Foundation Anniversary.
