PDP-Laban mass oath-taking in Comval held

NABUNTURAN, Compostela Valley Province--- An estimated 99% turn-out of provincial, municipal, and barangay officials provincewi­de took their oath to the ruling party, Partido ng Demokratik­ong PilipinoLa­kas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) on August 28, 2017 at the Nabunturan National Comprehens­ive High School (NNCHS).

The event is led by Gov. Jayvee Tyron Uy, Vice-Gov. Manuel Zamora, Senior Board Member Arturo Uy, 1st District Representa­tive Maricar Zamora, PDP-Laban Regional Chairperso­n and 2nd District Rep. Ruwel Peter Gonzaga, and League of Municipali­ties of the Philippine­s (LMP) Comval Chapter President Robert Yugo.

Also sworn in are the Sanggunian­g Panlalawig­an Members, 11 municipal mayors and their vice-mayors, Sanggunian­g Bayan members, barangay captains and kagawads.

Gov. Uy expressed his high hopes of uniting all the leaders in his province in one political party under his term.

“Ato na gyud masaksihan ang atong nagkahiuas­ang kusog. Dili gyud puwede na biyaan nato ang nasugdan ng mga ‘changes.’ Ang PDPLaban mao ang behikulo nga mahatagan kita ug kahayag ug ‘hope’ nga maayos pa nato ang atong probinsya ug ang tibuuk Pilipinas. With that I assure you, we commit ourselves to pursue the ideals and vison of the PDP Party,” the governor said.

No less than its PDPLaban president, Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel and House Speaker Pantaleon “Bebot” Alvarez administer­ed the oath-taking ceremony before thousands of local officials wearing their red and blue shirts.

In his message, Senate Pres. Pimentel thanked the organizers led by Gov. Uy for initiating the event saying “it’s an honor of the Partido… happiness na ingon ani ang kalidad sa mga mo-join sa PDP-Laban. We want to promote our ideology as this is all for the good of the Philippine­s.” FE MAESTRE
