Smart teams up with Monde Nissin
PLDT wireless unit Smart Communications, Inc. (Smart), has partnered with Monde Nissin Corporation, one of the Philippines’ leading food manufacturing companies, to offer free mobile data and SMS to all who love Lucky Me!, the top instant noodle brand in the country.
Through the Lucky Me! “Gimme 5” promo covered by the partnership, all Smart, TNT, and Sun prepaid customers can get five megabytes (MB) worth of access to Facebook, plus five SMS, for free and valid for one day.
“This is a perfect match between two category leaders with a common goal – to delight our customers. At Smart we are constantly finding ways to do just that, and partnering with other brands that Filipinos love is part of that strategy,” said Oscar Enrico Reyes, Jr., First Vice President at PLDT and Smart.
“This is not the first time that we are teaming up with Monde Nissin and Lucky Me! to gift their customers with free Smart services. This year, however, we have made this partnership even more beneficial to Filipino consumers, as we include mobile data in the freebies they will enjoy,” said Princesita Katigbak, head of key accounts for sales and distribution at Smart.
This is part of the company’s broader effort to encourage all Filipinos to start using mobile data to access the internet, Reyes added.
To enjoy the five MB of FB access and the five SMS, Smart, TNT, and Sun prepaid customers simply need to check for the code printed inside every specially marked promo pack of Lucky Me! Mami Beef na Beef or Chicken na Chicken at leading sari-sari stores, groceries, and supermarkets nationwide.
They must text this code to 4388 using the format: LUCKYME [CODE]. They will then receive a notification message that they can start enjoying the free mobile data and free on-net SMS, valid for one day.
“We are glad to be in this partnership with Smart because we know that there are over 58 million Smart, TNT, and Sun users across the country to whom Lucky Me!, by itself already a staple in almost every Filipino home, will potentially become even more attractive,” said Vivien Dizon, Marketing Manager for Lucky Me! Noodles at Monde Nissin.
