A TOTAL of 90 other persons involved in various criminal offenses were arrested and one was killed in the series of five simultaneous Major Clearing Operations against Criminality and Terrorism dubbed as One Time Big Time, which ended yesterday.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Police Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum said in an interview yes- terday that this is the fifth time they conducted OTBT in the city in his five months in the office. The operation started last August 26 and culminated Friday, September 1.

Police operatives from 12 police stations of DCPO, along with the agents from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA 11), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG 11), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Maritime Industry Authority (Marina 11) have joined together in its implementation.

Also, the Philippine National Police- Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG), PNP Regional Crime Laboratory Office (RCLO 11), Regional Public Safety Battalion (RPSB 11), Central 911 were present.

These law enforcement units initiated a series of operations in a total of 46 barangays within the area of responsibility of Davao City.

The operation resulted in the implementation of one search warrant, service of 58 warrants of arrest, and 30 drug buy bust operations that led in the apprehension of 90 persons and the death of one who allegedly resisted arrest.

The slain person has not yet been identified.

There were a total of 8.55174 grams of shabu that were confiscated with an estimated market value of P102,620 during the operation.

Based on their assessment, there is a meager supply now of illegal drugs circulating in the city because of the ongoing conflict in Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) particularly in Marawi which is considered as one of the sources of shabu including the region 10.

Likewise, several vehicles were impounded including three motorcycles and one Starex van vehicle. They also recovered of a caliber .45 pistol and two .38 caliber revolver firearms with ammunition.
